And what about you?

“The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you.” (Deuteronomy 31:3)
Did you catch that, friend? He Himself—your God—will go ahead of you. That’s not me, Déborah, saying that. That’s God Himself—speaking through Moses—to you.
Moses, who was about to die right before entering the Promised Land. Moses, who didn’t get to experience the very thing he had longed for. And still, he said to Joshua: “The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you.” (Deuteronomy 31:3)
Moses would have had every reason to say, "I gave it everything I had… and I don’t even get to enter the Promised Land?" 😤
But instead, he passed on the truth he personally experienced—even through disappointment: “God Himself went ahead of me… and He’ll go ahead of you too.”
Let me explain it like this:
Because Moses continually allowed God to go ahead of him—not just with him—he was able to see God’s comfort, His guidance, His strength, and those little winks from heaven that say: “I’ve got this.” Picture this:
If you only let God walk beside you, you’ll constantly have to turn your head to check where He is.
Now, here’s what the dictionary says “side by side” means: "Something done at the same time as something more important." Ouch.
If your faith is just “side by side” with your daily life—on the same level as your to-do list—then you’ll only experience “side effects” of what faith is truly capable of. 🫢
That’s why you shouldn’t let God walk beside you—Let Him go ahead of you.And when you do, you’ll experience transformation like never before. 🎉🎉
So where is God in your life right now, friend? Is He as important as your other priorities? Or… if you’re honest, have some things—or even people—become more important than Him?
Then let’s pray this together. “Father, I realize today that I’ve allowed things—and people—to become more important to me than You. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. And I ask with all my heart: Go ahead of me again. Let me see Your guidance, Your comfort, Your strength, and that loving wink of reassurance. I love You. Amen.”
You are a miracle!
