What blanket are you hiding under?

“Daddy, can you leave the light on? Otherwise, I’ll be scared.”
You probably said those words yourself when you were little. And I’m guessing your dad didn’t respond with: “Nope, you’ll just have to deal with it.” 🤭
friend, now that you’re older, your fears have changed. Fear about the future. About money. About everything, really. Which fears are weighing on you right now?
And can I ask—have you asked your Father to “leave the light on”? 💡💡
Because that should be our natural response to fear. As children, it was instinct: It’s dark, I need light. As adults, it should be just as instinctive: It’s dark, I need my Father.
Why? Because Jesus Himself said: “I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12 NIV)
A light that never goes out. A light that darkness itself is afraid of.
You can’t be separated from this light… unless you choose to hide. Under the blanket of fear. The blanket of lies. The blanket of negative words you’ve let settle in your life.
friend, your fear is afraid of Jesus! Because Scripture says: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Acts 2:21 NIV)
So between your fears and the light… honestly, the only thing standing there is you. Because the light—Jesus Christ—can never, ever be “switched off.” 🔦
Oh friend, today I want to speak straight to your heart: Stop hiding under all those blankets—because the Light, Jesus Christ, is real, and He will rescue you!
Step into the light—because Jesus is FOR YOU!
You are a miracle!
