What’s missing in your life?

I just had to cancel an appointment—a great opportunity—that I was really looking forward to. But due to time constraints I realized I just can’t do everything anymore. 😞

So, what I’d really like in my life right now is time. 🕙 But I also know that what others probably wish to have, I get to have: traveling a lot, writing books, etc.

Isn’t that interesting? It’s always like this…

The older person would love to be younger. The younger person would love to be further ahead. The single person would love to be married. The married person feels uncomfortable in their marriage. The poor person would love more money, and the rich person would prefer more time. The unknown person wants to be on stage. The famous person longs for privacy.

There’s a verse in Psalm 90 that is very important to me: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom!” (Psalm 90:12 NIV

friend, sometimes we forget, in all our complaining of “I don’t have this, I wish I had that,” that God has blessed us with exactly this life. What is NOW is what is MEANT to be. And maybe you’re thinking now: “Really? Is this pain meant to be?”

Yes, it's all meant to be—and God doesn’t leave you alone in it! 💕

Because even if the older person could really be younger again, and the single person could get married, even if the poor person became rich, and the unknown person became famous...

Yes, even if I suddenly had a lot more time but didn’t understand that it’s ETERNITY that counts, not what’s important here on Earth—then we would have missed it all.

You only lack something, it’s true, if you live ignoring what matters and God’s plan for you!

Because you will be happy—whether old, young, rich, poor, sick, or healthy—when you recognize God in your life, when you live in His presence, and when your life is aligned with eternity.

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:2-4 NIV

You are a miracle!
