Are you using your own brain šŸ˜‰šŸ§

Publication date Aug 16, 2025

I’m so glad God gave you your own brain!

Let’s think this through together—it’s going to be fun and eye-opening. Just imagine if every church had to share one single brain. Why not, right? We all believe the same thing. That would’ve saved God time and effort. People would question less, argue less, and everyone would agree.

But that’s exactly what God didn’t want. Because humans make mistakes. Even church leaders make mistakes. DĆ©borah makes mistakes, too.

But making mistakes isn’t the problem if your heart truly wants to pass on what’s good and true. šŸ’”

You know, Jesus saw right through people who used their words and sermons to manipulate! He exposed that clearly while He was here on earth, especially so we could learn from it today. He said to the teachers of the law:

ā€œWhat sorrow awaits you experts in religious law! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people.ā€ (Luke 11:52 NLT) 😮

Isn’t that wild? You’re sitting with other Christians, having a nice evening, chatting about God’s Word, and you just take it all in: ā€œWell, they’re Christians, they must be right.ā€ That’s how it was back then—the religious leaders taught the law, but were hypocrites in their daily lives. And it could still be like that today…

That’s why I just want to encourage you today to use your own brain and take a moment to ask: ā€œIs that r-e-a-l-l-y true?ā€

Because you know what? There are so many things that get said, even with good intentions, that could actually keep you from getting to know God better. Especially when rules suddenly seem more important than your relationship with God...

Yes, God did give us clear rules—but He’ll share those with you lovingly WITHIN YOUR RELATIONSHIP with Him. And He’ll help you understand them, too, as you spend time with Him and switch on your own brain.

Because Jesus said, ā€œI am the way, the truth, and the life!ā€ (John 14:6 NLT)

So, give yourself the freedom to think it through. Ask questions. Read it for yourself. Talk to God about it. Because God didn’t just give you a brain— He also gave you a heart that can recognize His voice.

You are a miracle!
