Discovering something new in the old 🥸😉

Does your life feel bleak, maybe even hopeless, friend?

I totally get that. ESPECIALLY during those times, I often find it hard to find the motivation to open God’s Word. Reading something new? Even harder.

And you know what? That’s okay, friend. Just read whatever is “clicking” for you right now.God doesn’t force you to read a specific passage. He can meet you on any page! He doesn’t force you to read His Word—but it’s through reading that He wants to meet you. 😍

Maybe on days like this, you just read familiar passages, like Matthew 16. But, this time, ask NEW questions:

📖 “When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked His disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ They replied, ‘Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ ‘But what about you?’ He asked. ‘Who do you say I am?’” (Matthew 16:13-15 NIV

And then comes the pivotal answer:

📖 “Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!’” (Matthew 16:16 NIV

What a moment! 💡 And here, you can ask yourself: Where exactly did this happen?

Answer: In a very pagan area, full of idols and temples. And it was here, in this place, that one of the strongest confessions about Jesus was made!

And years later? Caesarea Philippi, once a center of paganism, became a place of Christian faith! Churches were built, the Gospel spread.

Maybe it all started with Peter’s bold words in THIS place of hopelessness:

📖 “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!” (Matthew 16:16 NIV

💭 Do you see what you can discover with NEW QUESTIONS in OLD TEXTS, friend? (just by asking “Where did this happen?”) The truth that:

👉 God can work in the darkest places! 👉 A bold confession can change the future! 👉 What seems hopeless now can one day become a place of victory!

Darkness only appears dark. God’s Word truly works and, through it, everything becomes bright again!

Open your Bible and get something NEW (through new questions!) for yourself.

You are a miracle!
