Do you want to become happy AGAIN?

"Oh, give me back my joy AGAIN” (Psalm 51:8, NLT, emphasis mine)

A little word with such a big meaning: AGAIN! On the one hand, it means that it is something you once experienced, and on the other hand, it also means that you are not experiencing it right now....

So what does David want to tell us with this verse? First, he knew joy very well himself. And, secondly, that you will experience it again, if—ah, the beloved little word IF—if you ask God for it AND also believe in it!

Do you do that? Are you asking God to give you the joy that was once in your life AGAIN? Or do you use another little word that is even shorter, but all the more dangerous? It’s the word “but.”

It goes something like this: “But my situation is way too messed up...
