Do you ever think life would have been easier if you had grown up in a different family?

Recently, I got to drive a different car—my friend loaned me his, so I was driving with a Swiss license plate instead of a German one. When I had to fill up the gas, a funny thought crossed my mind: “Oh, I have to fill up with the Swiss car in Switzerland.”

But as you know, that’s not true at all. You can fill it up anywhere!

And it’s the same with your life, friend! You might wish you had a different “license plate” in your life. You’d rather not be marked by the pain of your family or your past, and you’d much prefer to be like everyone else.

So, my advice to you today: Stop filling up at the place where you’ve been hurt, friend! Because you can—just like everyone else—fill up where you’ll be set free! Because Jesus’ offer is for everyone, including you:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)

friend, I ask you from the bottom of my heart: Stop believing that this offer is only for other people. It’s for YOU! You don’t have to believe the words that were spoken to you, or about you, at your place of pain! You can—just like everyone else—fill up with the truth!

Leave the darkness of your past behind and turn to the one who’s loving freedom is kind!

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12, NIV)

That’s the promise Jesus gives you, friend. Will you rise today and walk in His direction?

friend, you decide where you go to fill up—and that will determine how your life goes from here. That’s pretty important, isn’t it?

You are a miracle!
