It wasn’t better back then… 😉
It’s probably one of the most well-known Bible verses... Want to say it with me?
“For God so loved the Christians that he gave His one and only Son…”
Wait a second, something’s off, right? What does it really say? “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)
Wow. What a word: world. Not “Christians.” Not “the righteous.” Not “those who have it all together.” Not “those who loved Him first.” But the world.
And that means everyone.
The beautiful. The broken. The guilty. The cynics. Those who run away. People struggling with addictions. Those who forget Him. Even those who have nothing to do with God, or even curse Him.
Maybe God even thinks, like we sometimes do: “Things were better back then.” But even that doesn’t change His love. Even if things were better before, His love has always been and will always be constant for us.
Imagine an ICU. People are fighting for their lives. Some are unconscious. Some are terrified. 🤕 Then the doctor arrives—who knows every file, every risk—and says: “I’m here to help you. All of you. No matter if you trust me or how bad things look.”
That is Jesus. He doesn’t just go into individual rooms. He offers His help to the whole ward.
Yes, maybe things were better before, but God is still just as good. And because of that, we are safe. Loved. Secure.
When it says, “For God so loved the world,” it really means everyone.
“The world” excludes no one—it includes everyone.
Will you let Jesus into your world today?
You are a miracle!
