Do you really believe that? 😍

What is probably the most well-known Bible verse ever? Can you guess? Exactly, it’s John 3:16, which says:

“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

This verse could have been written very differently—completely differently. Imagine the situation: Jesus is talking with Nicodemus, a religious leader who doesn’t want to openly acknowledge Him (see John 3). Let’s be honest, it would be frustrating.

At this point, Jesus already knew the powerful people would reject Him and that many would misunderstand Him—the very people He came to save! And He knew His path would lead to the cross. Whew! That’s more than any person could handle

In that moment, Jesus could have very reasonably said, “You don’t get it, and you don’t want to. I’m done with you. My Father will deal with you.” And no one could have blamed Him. đŸ«Ł

But instead of saying, “You don’t understand,” He said, “Whoever believes in Me will not be lost.”

Even when we don’t understand, God gives us life!

“Don’t be afraid; just believe.” (Mark 5:36 NIV). This message repeats throughout the Bible.

And maybe, you feel like you’ve completely messed up. Maybe you feel so far from God that it seems impossible that this love is for YOU today. Not after the way you acted. Not after the things you said

Nicodemus doubted
 Jesus loved.

Nicodemus wanted everything explained
 Jesus challenged him to believe.

Will you believe today without fully understanding? Believe, because Jesus still gave His life! People didn’t understand—yet that didn’t stop Jesus from giving His life. For people like you and me. The doubters. The imperfect.

God doesn’t love because we understand. God loves so that we can believe.

Do you BELIEVE?

God doesn’t love because we’re good. He loves even though we’re not.

You are a miracle!
