I thought I knew you… 🤔
Do you know what people often say after an affair comes to light?
“I really thought I knew him/her…”
That trust that seemed so solid just moments before is suddenly—often irreparably—shattered.
To truly trust someone, you have to know them. We all get that. And when something like this happens, it usually means you didn’t know that person as well as you thought. The exchange—the communication—was lacking. There were things left unsaid…
On the other hand, when two people manage to share everything, even in hard times, and face those struggles together—woohooo—that creates a trust that no one from the outside can break! 💪🏻
That’s what I see in my parents’ relationship. If, for example, someone tried to shake their marriage by telling my mom, “Hey, I saw your husband flirting with another woman,” my mom would burst out laughing and tell my dad about it later over a cozy glass of wine. And then they’d laugh together about it.Â
Why? Because they’ve been through too much together—good and bad—and they’ve always told each other everything.
THAT is the kind of relationship God longs to have with YOU. One where you tell Him what makes you happy, but also when you struggle. Even when you doubt His existence.
He can handle all of that—because His love for you is endlessly strong! ❤️
God is just waiting to have that kind of unshakable relationship with you! He wants to shape your heart so that even in life’s storms, you can confidently say:
“...I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I’ve entrusted to Him until the day of his return.” (2 Timothy 1:12 NIV)
Draw closer than ever before—because this kind of trust will never end in disappointment!
You are a miracle!
