Why are you giving that up?

Publication date Jun 4, 2026

There’s something we do far too often… We give up peace.

And that’s something we really want to avoid moving forward, don’t we?

When you’re sick and need medicine, a doctor often says, “But don’t take it on an empty stomach.” In the same way, you need to protect yourself from taking on the worries of everyday life—or even bigger concerns—on an empty heart.

That’s why the foundation you urgently need to build your life on is time with God. You’ve probably heard that many times before, and depending on who you are, it might feel easy or it might sound quite complicated.

So, I want to share how I personally approach it. I have a small soundproof room where I usually record “A Miracle Every Day.”

As soon as you step inside, it’s almost like your ears shut off. And that’s actually a good thing. Because it means my ears are closed to the noise of the world and open to what God wants to say.

When your ears are open to what God is speaking, you start your day in a completely different light.

In that room, I begin my day. In that room, I thank God for everything He has done. In that room, I pray for YOU. But in that room, I sometimes also cry my eyes out and ask, “God, I don’t understand the world anymore. What is going on?”

And sometimes I simply sit there with my Bible, asking Him to give me a verse that will carry me through the day.

One thing is certain: I always leave that room changed. Because that’s where I find the peace that can only be found in God:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)

Don’t give up this peace that God wants to give you any longer.

You are a miracle!
