Surrender Frees Us
Have you ever surrendered something to God and found out it made your life SO much better? Think about it for just a moment. Have you ever surrendered worry and found out God exchanged it for peace?
One of the most amazing truths is that surrender does not limit life—it enlarges it.
Letting go of control allows God to work in ways I never could imagine. When I “hand it over” to God, I experience freedom from anxiety, freedom from the need to manage outcomes, and freedom to fully embrace the life God intended for me.
Jesus promises this freedom:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10, NIV)
Surrender is the doorway to that full life. The more I release control, the more space I give for God’s Spirit to guide me, for His love to shape me, and for His purposes to unfold in my life. I can stop exhausting myself trying to manipulate outcomes, people, and circumstances. I can rest in Him.
Freedom through surrender is a paradox: I gain life when I let go.
I experience peace when I release anxiety. I find strength when I admit weakness. This is not theoretical; it is practical, tangible, and life-changing.
We can experience that enlarged life right here and right now. Let’s pray about that together:
Father, thank You for the freedom found in surrender. Help me to release my grip on control and trust that Your plans are perfect. Teach me to step into the life You offer, fully and without reservation. Let Your Spirit guide me into peace, joy, and true freedom. I pray this in your Son’s name. Amen.
Never forget my friend—
You are a miracle!
