"Notice to vacate apartment…"
Out of nowhere, this letter fluttered into my apartment: "Notice to vacate apartment due to owner's extenuating circumstances." I never expected anything like this, and I wasn't at all ready to leave my apartment!
Have you ever found yourself in a surprising situation and needed to have a quick talk with God? "What do You think of that, Father? It's totally unfair!" But the fact remained: I still had to decide what to do and where to go…without letting my disappointment get the better of me.
The two Bible verses below always go hand in hand for me during times of uncertainty in my life—really at any time, actually! I wish they were right next to each other in the Bible because, in my opinion, they share a powerful connection:
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." (Psalm 27:13, NIV)
"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, AMPC)
Do you see the connection, friend? :-) How important it is to confidently trust in the Lord! Both of these verses and countless others in the Bible exhort us to "be confident" in our great God!
Yes, I encourage you to fully trust that you will see how good God is to you. If He were to stand before you, right in the midst of the most difficult or uncertain times in your life, I believe He'd tell you this exact same thing. Remember…the Bible is God's Word. You hear Him through His Word!
You also have the great opportunity, friend, to think of Him every step of the way, with every decision you need to make. When you do so, you won't be disappointed! Your heart will start seeing the possibilities on the horizon, and you'll begin saying to yourself, "Wow, maybe God wants to give me something even better…something more!"
When God takes away, He also gives. That's what I experienced in the case of my apartment. I was able to move into a much nicer, bigger, friendlier place…a real home!
friend, God means well to you, and He is already planning how He can give you what's even better! :-) Do you trust Him?
You are a miracle!
