“Taking all I have and now I’m laying it at your feet!” Every time I sing that line from the song “You Say” (which I had the honor of translating into German from Lauren Daigle’s original), I think to myself: “Jesus… this really isn’t that much. My ‘everything’ is not a lot.” 🤷‍♀️

But friend, it’s like God immediately responds to me every single time: “But that is MORE than enough!”

Do you ever feel the same? Maybe you’ve thought, “Jesus, I wish I were a better person, but I keep failing.” Or, “I want to have a stronger faith, but then I end up doubting again.” 😔

friend… just bring what you’ve got. Bring what you have today—because that’s already more than just waiting around until you have more.

Imagine if David had stood in front of Goliath and thought: “Wow, this is a disaster. Goliath looks like a full-on pro soldier. He has everything I wish I had. And me? I’ve got toy weapons—a slingshot. God, there’s no way this is enough! I’ll just wait until I’ve been properly trained as a soldier too.”

One thing’s for sure—we’d never have the powerful story that we now get to read in the Bible!  That a “small” man like David defeated the giant Goliath! We’re only encouraged by that story today because David used what he had in that moment.

Yes—a simple slingshot… and a single stone. Get this, friend… it wasn’t even anything fancy—it was just a pebble! 🪨

The Bible says: “So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword.” (1 Samuel 17:50 NLT

How did that work? Because David never doubted that what he had was enough. He knew he wasn’t fighting in his own strength. He said: “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord…” (1 Samuel 17:45)

friend, lay everything you have before Him today—and you’ll see, with Him, it’ll take you everywhere you need to go.

You are a miracle!
