Living in the Spirit helps us start walking step by step with the Spirit. Eventually, a closeness develops. Have you ever noticed your friendships have a unique way of changing your life?
The Bible tells us, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25, NKJV)
Notice we first live in the Spirit before we can walk in the Spirit. I’ve played competitive sports for many years, and one thing I know for sure is we had to learn how to become a team before we could play as a team. John Maxwell often says, “teamwork makes the dream work”.
Do you believe that? Whether you work in an office, a classroom or a restaurant, I imagine you received corporate training. If you joined the military, you went to boot camp. Boot camp made you a soldier first before they trained you to fight.
We cannot walk with the Spirit if we don’t know who He is. It takes time and effort to walk with the Spirit. We need to live with Him for a while. Notice that I changed the word “in” the Spirit to “with” the Spirit because many people I know find it hard to understand and apply this to their daily lives.
So let’s pray daily: “Holy Spirit, help me live with You daily and learn to walk just like You. Fill me up because I need Your help to do this. Amen.”
friend, living with the Spirit is easier when the Spirit is in you.
You’re a miracle.
