Are you just going through the motions right now

Do you know that feeling, friend, when you get up and just function without actually feeling happy?

It feels so awful. In fact, these are recurring phases that, I would argue, everyone experiences at some point. And there is one big, powerful, extremely important difference:

People who run to God during these times won’t bury their heads in the sand so easily!

Because God’s truth, though it may be a whisper, keeps reminding you: “This will end; this will pass. I, your God, am not waiting for you at the end of this phase—I am with you!” And maybe that’s the encouragement you needed today, friend:

Your God is not waiting for you at the end of this phase;He is WITH you!

And do you know what you can learn right now, friend?To trust Him. To trust that He is there—and that He truly means well for you!

Or as David once said with full confidence: “My future is in your hands.” (Psalm 16:6 NIV) 

When your future is in God’s hands, you can be 100% sure that you are safe today!

And that alone should be reason enough to tell your sadness:“That’s enough. There’s no room for you here.God is for me—and that doesn’t change even in times when He is silent!”

So what can we practically do today to get out of this sadness? Let’s start by speaking the truth out loud:

My God is for me,and my failures don’t change that. (See Romans 8:38-39 NIV) My God is for me,and His current silence doesn’t change that. (See Hebrews 13:5 NIV) My God is for me,because He never abandons me. (See Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV) My God is for me,yes, I believe that!”

friend, your God is not waiting for you at the end of this phase;He is WITH you!

You are a miracle!
