Better not start your day like this… 🙏🏻

Publication date Aug 25, 2025

What did you watch last night on TV or your phone? Maybe you hung out with friends and shared some funny moments. But were they really funny—or were you laughing at someone else?

No worries, you know I’m not here to point fingers because I couldn’t even if I wanted to: I fall into these same traps myself.

A few days ago, I decided to watch the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in years… and well, you know me, I’ll tell you exactly what I think. From the very first song, the Holy Spirit made it very clear: dark spiritual forces were at work.

You see, when you spend time daily in God’s Word, He will prompt you to get up and walk away the moment darkness speaks.

Because light and darkness can’t mix. Or in Paul’s words:

“...How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15 NLT)

And then the passage continues:

“Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things.” (2 Corinthians 6:17 NLT

God couldn’t speak more clearly than that. So what should we do? GET UP and WALK AWAY.

To be honest, it took me half the show to finally turn the TV off, and the next morning, I woke up with this overwhelming heaviness. Yes, I had opened the door to something that doesn’t belong in my life.

So what now? That’s easy: Get rid of it! Thank You, Jesus, that this is possible—through prayer. Maybe this is one you want to pray today:

“Father, I let darkness into my heart, but in the mighty name of Jesus, I ask You to wash me clean! Forgive me for my sins and poor choices. Thank You that darkness has no power over me—or over this day—because I am a child of the Light, a child of God. Amen!”

You are a miracle!
