“Jesus could have just said no…”

Is there something you've been thinking about for a long time, something like, "Wow, this is really a great cause. I should really support it..." but for some reason, you never get around to it?
As a passionate ambassador for Compassion (www.compassion.com), I often speak at my events about the opportunity to sponsor a child and change their life. And I often hear people say, “Yeah, I’ve been thinking about doing that for a long time…” which I totally understand.
I’m so, so glad that Jesus didn’t “think about it for a long time” when deciding whether or not to stand up for us. friend, are you aware that Jesus took on a sponsorship for you—without hesitation?
The Bible says: “It is by his great mercy that we have been born again.” (1 Peter 1:3 NLT). And it even says: “[This message] is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen” (1 Peter 1:12 NLT).
friend, what I understand right now is that I understand nothing at all. Haha 😜. Because the more I dig into what Jesus really did for us, the more I realize that this “great mercy” God had for us—by allowing His Son to suffer in our place—has made a difference for you and me that we will only fully grasp in eternity.
And what it truly meant that Jesus said YES. Jesus could have easily said no. Or He could have just said, “Yeah, I’ve been thinking about doing this for a long time…” 😳
It wouldn’t have changed HIS future. He could have spared Himself a lot of pain and misery in this world... but it would have changed EVERYTHING about YOUR future!
Jesus’ YES didn’t change HIS future—it changed YOURS.
Back then, Jesus came into the worldto save humanity from their sins.Soon, Jesus will returnto bring us home—to eternity.
friend, Jesus’ YES is already complete. And now you know the purpose of your life and your faith—not just salvation for your lifetime, but the salvation for all eternity.”.
You are a miracle!
