What are you expecting on Christmas Eve? 🎁✨

Publication date Dec 7, 2025

Oh, how I love that Christmas Eve! 🌟 And it’s coming up so soon!

There’s always so much going on during the day—but then evening comes… the lights, the service, the songs, the food. I love it.

But I want to nudge you to expect something that most people no longer wait for. Wait… what? Yes, you heard that right: Expect something that most people don’t expect anymore.

We wait for the evening to come.We wait for the Christmas service. We wait for the meal. But do we still expect an encounter with the King of kings? 👑

When Jesus was born, there was a very old man named Simeon. This is how he’s described in the Bible: “...He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel.” (Luke 2:25 NLT)

He waited—with deep longing—for the Savior.

There was no reason to believe he would ever see Him. And yet… “That day the Spirit led him to the Temple” (Luke 2:27 NLT). Wow. The same temple where Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus that very day!

And so Simeon actually got to see Jesus with his own eyes!

“Simeon took him [Jesus] in his arms and praised God, saying: ‘Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation’” (Luke 2:29-30 NIV)

And now I have a question to ask you. It’s not about your plans or how you’re feeling, but rather: What are you expecting on Christmas Eve?

Will you dare, like Simeon, to hope for more than what you can see? To long for an encounter with the Savior Himself? 👑

Because Jesus is here—not just in the manger 2,000 years ago. He’s right here, right now, in the middle of your life.

If you expect Him, you will find Him. And when you find Him, you will discover true peace. ✨

So my wish for you this Christmas season: Expect Jesus. 👑

Because whoever expects Him will never be disappointed. 💫

You are a miracle!
