God's Perfect Plan
My Christmas tree was fundamentally broken, and my own effort to fix it just made things worse. I had created a great divide between myself and a functioning holiday decoration.
This is a small picture of a bigger truth. Sin created an uncrossable separation between humanity and God. But God loved His creation so much that He created a plan to reconcile the relationship and build a bridge across the divide. God planned a perfect Christmas so you and I could be restored into a right relationship with Him.
Everything that has happened—from the beginning of time until now—was done by God, just for you. He didn’t just add a few lights to a broken tree; He rebuilt the entire system.
Two thousand years ago, God “spoke Jesus” over every single one of us. Jesus was the answer to reconciling humanity and God! He was the bridge. Think about this verse through the lens of Christmas…
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17, NIV)
This is the perfect Christmas. It wasn't about our efforts, our plans, or our attempts to fix things. It was about God’s love for us, which was so great that He sent His Son to be the bridge.
Take a moment and thank God for His Christmas gift to you! Let’s pray together….
Dear God, thank you for loving the world so much that you gave your one and only Son. Thank you for not condemning me, but for sending Jesus to save me. I am so grateful for the bridge you built over the great divide. Amen.
Never forget my friend…
You are a miracle!
