The Gift is for You
My journey with the broken Christmas tree taught me that my attempts at perfection are futile. Our pursuit of a perfect Christmas, while well-intentioned, can only lead to frustration.
The good news is that we don't have to pursue a perfect Christmas—because God has already created it for us. It’s a gift, and it has been offered. Have you received it?
God sent His Son in an unusual, humble, and perfect way. The Savior of the world had come, and the shepherds found an exhausted mother, an emotional father, and the gift of a baby lying in a manger. It was a sign of God's love, a gift from God for all of us. The Bible says, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12, NIV)
Today, you can receive the gift of Jesus. Today, you can celebrate that Christmas was meant for you. Today, you can have a perfect Christmas moment, no matter what is happening around you.
As you move toward Christmas, you can accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. When I accepted Jesus, I had to acknowledge that I had been living my life for me. I confessed my sin and repented of all my attempts to live without God. I handed over the rest of my life to God’s plan and God’s will. You can begin that new relationship with Jesus right now.
If you have already accepted the gift of Jesus, take a moment and let the saving knowledge of Jesus pour out of you, just like the angels sang, “Glory to God in the highest!”
If you have never accepted the BEST Christmas gift, pray this prayer with me, right now:
Father God, I accept the gift of Jesus that you freely offer. I acknowledge that I have sinned. I know that I have lived my life for me, not for you. God, forgive me for sinning against you and rejecting you. Right now, I accept your forgiveness. I thank you for your love. I give my life back to you and ask that you would use me to share your love with everyone in my life. I thank you for your grace and for your mercy. Thank you for the gift of Jesus. I declare Him to be my Savior and Lord of my life. Amen.
Never forget, my friend, you are a miracle.
You are a miracle!
