Your boat will NOT sink this year! 🚤

Publication date Jan 26, 2026

Let’s stay realistic today! And I think you’re right here with me in believing this: a new year does not automatically mean a fresh start.

Because whatever weighed on your heart at the end of December may have briefly disappeared in your thoughts with the fireworks—but today, it’s back again.

And do you know what I love so much about Jesus? Jesus stays—even when you may have mentally pushed Him far into the background.

➡️ Jesus stays with you, even when you walk away.

In one Bible story, the disciples had just experienced the incredible miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fish. Shortly afterward, they were sitting in a boat when they were caught in a storm. Maybe they thought: “Of course. Last year, He performed miracles, but now His patience has run out. He’s leaving us on our own.”

Oh, how human those thoughts are! Come on, admit it—you have them too, right? I know I do sometimes…

That’s how we are as humans. But God is not like that!

Soon after, it says: “Then he [Jesus] climbed into the boat with them, and the wind stopped.” (Mark 6:51, NLT)

That sounds good! Very good. But do you know which words really shake me? The ones that follow right after: “They were totally amazed, for they STILL didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves.” (Mark 6:52, NLT, emphasis mine)

My prayer for you and for me as we step into this new year is that we truly understand who Jesus is:

Jesus is your Savior—whether He is rescuing you right now or not.Jesus is your Healer—whether He is healing you right now or not.Jesus is your Protector—whether you feel protected right now or not.Jesus is your answer—even when you still have many unanswered questions.

Because people who truly understand Jesus don’t wait for the miracle—they wait for the One who performs the miracles.

And Jesus IS with you. 💙🙏🏻

You are always allowed to ask Him: “Lord, step into my boat.”

And believe me: when He is in the boat with you, you will make it through even the greatest storms—together.

You are a miracle!
