No matter the cost…
Do you realize what God would do to help you, friend?
This summer, I had the opportunity to spend a week vacationing in Rhodes. Unfortunately, this vacation was overshadowed by the fires on the island. Thousands of people ran, some in swimsuits and flip-flops, away from the flames.
Even my cousin, with his wife and two children, were affected. Instead of being in a beautiful hotel bed like me, they ended up sleeping in a corridor on beach loungers.
When I heard about this, I immediately sprang into action and did everything I could to organize accommodation and a driver for them through my contacts. And even though everyone told me, "It's impossible today!" I found a way to make it possible.
The many phone calls between my German phone and their French phone, all across Greece, surely cost a lot. But, friend, honestly: In those moments, none of that mattered. I just want my loved ones to be safe and well. Especially when I could see tears and sheer despair.
And then it dawned on me: If I, a human, worry so much about my loved ones, how much more will my Father in Heaven worry about His loved ones…about you, friend?
If I, a human, want the best for my loved ones, how much more will your Father in Heaven want the best for you, friend?
If I, a human, would spend my last penny on my loved ones in need, how much more will your Father in Heaven give you everything you need, where His wealth knows no end?
Two wonderful verses emphasize this thought:
"If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!" (Matthew 7:11 NIV)
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 NIV)
friend, God has not forgotten you in your time of need. His plan to do good to you is firm... because you are among His "loved ones!”
He will wipe away your tears, for His love will never leave you!
You are a miracle!
