Paying it forward

Thank you for joining me on this special week of a Miracle Every Day!

I have a friend who battled cancer… Who now brings joy to cancer infusion patients by bringing his therapy dog into the hospital ward to sit with them during treatment.

I have a friend who once had an abortion… Who now does a Bible Study with women trying to find hope and healing in Jesus for the same challenging decision.

I have a business friend… Who sets aside a portion of his profits to bless wounded soldiers and their families because he acknowledges that they paid a price for his freedom.

I have a friend who didn’t know how to read until he was in his 50s… Who now teaches English reading skills to immigrants so they can experience the same joy of words that he experiences every time he picks up a book.

I have a friend who wasted much of his life on drugs and alcohol… Who now, clean and sober, volunteers at a teen drop-in center and talks to kids about Jesus and how He can set them free from the bondage of addiction, too!

Each one of my friends, in their own unique way, is “paying it forward.” They are taking the grace of God they received in the darkest moment of their life and extending it to someone who just needs a little help.

I have been honored to partner with Jesus.net and A Miracle Every Day in writing several Audio Guides. Each time we release an Audio Guide, we give people an opportunity to “pay it forward” and cover the cost of someone else’s experience.  

This is a real-life testimony of someone who needed an Audio Guide but could not afford to make a donation on their own. 

“I have been unemployed for a while now and am in God's Waiting Room for a miracle. I have no support system to assist me and my Church has given me a food voucher and my landlords have shown God's Mercy in not kicking me out. I live in Durban North, South Africa.”

Dana writes:

“My husband and I work on commission alone. It's either feast or famine. Right now, it's the season of famine, hence one of the reasons I would like to participate in the Spiritual Reset. When we're in the feast season, I will certainly pay it forward. Thank you for your consideration.”

Jesus said, according to Acts 20:35, “It is more blessed to give than to receive!” (Acts 20:35, NIV) 

Together, we can give a miracle as we open the door to more people receiving the gift of A Miracle Every Day. My prayer for this week is that our hearts are open to the prompt of Jesus as He calls us all to pay it forward.
