Today you’re hearing from God!

“For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now … I cry out … I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” (Isaiah 42:14-16, selections from the NIV)

Whaaaat a verse! What a promise! What a declaration!

Can you believe what you just read? Can you believe what God wants to say directly to you through this verse? It’s overwhelming! 🤯

I was recording for Un Miracle Chaque Jour—the French version of A Miracle Every Day—when this verse jumped out at me. Well, not right away, because it was very early in the morning and I was running late on my deadline, so I was rushing through my recording, as usual.

But somehow I kept stumbling over my words! I had to start over almost 20 times before I realized what was happening. God wasn’t just trying to speak to the people in France—He wanted to speak to me personally. And through me, to you!

Because His Word applies to “others,” yes, but it also applies to me, and it applies just as much to you! The real question is: will you hear His Word—and will you believe it? The problem is, we often hear what He says, but we simply don’t believe it!

Today God is declaring over your life that He WILL step in. I love this paraphrase of Isaiah 42:16:

“I’ll take the hand of those who don’t know the way, who can’t see where they’re going. I’ll be a personal guide to them, directing them through unknown country. I’ll be right there to show them what roads to take, make sure they don’t fall into the ditch. These are the things I’ll be doing for them—sticking with them, not leaving them for a minute.” (Isaiah 42:16, The Message)

NOW you’ve heard His voice. You can’t deny it. If you’ve read this far, it has already happened. The only thing that could stand in the way now is unbelief.

And if you feel trapped in doubt, still wondering if you really heard God today, let’s pray this together: “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24, NIV) 🙏

Amen. Believe it. Believe!
