Has God ever asked something of you that just didn’t make sense, friend? 🤔

Has He maybe asked you to forgive someone who absolutely didn’t deserve it? Or perhaps to give up part of your inheritance just to keep peace in the family? Maybe even to live with an illness, even though you had been expecting healing?

And here you are, wanting nothing more than to cry out: “W-H-Y, Lord?”

Shortly after I decided to attend a Bible school in Australia instead of staying home in financial security, I found myself asking that same W-H-Y!

Why did my best friend, to whom I had lent my phone during that time, leave me with a bill of over 3,000 euros? Why did God allow that? I needed every cent I had…

When the other students went out to eat, I stayed home. When they went shopping, I watched. While they typed all those valuable class notes into their laptops, I scribbled everything down on a notepad. W-H-Y?

friend, looking back now, I can’t help but smile. Because I can share over and over again how WONDERfully God provided for me during that time! Precisely because of all that(!), I got to experience how incredibly close God can be! 🤩

I experienced how He can give you joy from within... A joy that no tasty meal or new shirt could ever give you. A joy that lasts. 😄 Just like I—miraculously—was able to stay in Australia and finish my studies.

When God told Elijah, “Leave this place!” (1 Kings 17:2–3), there wasn’t a single complaint: “But W-H-Y?”

It simply says: “So he did what the Lord had told him.” (1 Kings 17:5 NIV), and shortly after: “...The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.” (1 Kings 17:6 NIV)

friend, let’s take on Elijah’s attitude and turn our W-H-Y into a trusting obedience that expects God to show up!

We humans worry about so much. But God will provide!

God will provide for YOU too—with everything YOU need, friend!

You are a miracle!
