Give and it will be given to you!

The Bible says, “Give, and it will be given to you…For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)

Quite the mystery, isn’t it? We give, and it is given to us.

How is this possible?

In theory, if I give my sandwich to someone, I don’t have one anymore! Except…if we see things from a different perspective. I give a sandwich, and I receive a smile, thankfulness, in return. My heart is satisfied and full. I’m filled with joy.

I give something, let go of it, but I receive something of even greater value!

Who doesn’t need a smile in his/her day, gratitude, or to hear the words “thanks for existing”?

You see… How good it is to give!

Jesus Himself taught us that there is so much happiness and blessing in giving.

“…remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (the Bible, Acts 20:35)

Thank you for what you’re going to give today, and thank the Lord for what He’ll allow you to receive in return! It’s His promise for you.
