God stretches out His hand and catches you

There’s a verse in the Bible that says, “Who is weak, and I am not weak?” (2 Corinthians 11:29) We all have our moments of weakness, depression, or doubt. The important thing is not staying there! What matters is that it doesn’t become a permanent state … a bit like that work that we start and never get around to finishing… Do you know what I mean?
One day, the apostle Peter had one of these moments of doubt. Though he had obeyed Jesus when He had called him to leave the boat and walk on the water (please don’t try this :)), Peter saw the waves, listened to the wind, and turned his gaze from Christ, who was also walking on the Sea of Galilee. Immediately, Peter began to sink! Doubt took its toll.

Faith raises you up. Faith enables you to accomplish great feats. Faith empowers you to achieve victories! Doubt never does.

Fortunately, Jesus knows our nature. He stretches out His hand and catches us. (The Bible, Matthew 14:31) And He asked Peter this question: “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Today, Jesus is stretching out His hand to catch you. Today, He invites you to trust Him. Don’t doubt! The good news of the Gospel is that as soon as they stepped back into the boat, the wind ceased. By faith, take His hand…a miracle is going to happen!
