He did it willingly!

This morning, a simple thought, but one bursting with love, one that encourages me…I pray that it encourages you as well and carries you through this day!

Jesus gave His life WILLINGLY. He was not forced. He had nothing to gain in return. He did it willingly. With all His heart. In a pure act of love.

He says in the Bible, “…I lay down My life for the sheep…No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.” (the Bible, John 10:15 and 18)

Jesus was not obliged to die in our place. He could have left us as we were…But in reality, no…He couldn’t have. He loved His Father, and He loved His creation, too much to have left us there. This is why, out of love for the Father and for us, Jesus gave His life and all His heart.

Jesus loves you, my friend. He loves you so much that He gave His life for you. No one took it from Him, but He gave it willingly, for you.
