Short on Prayer Time?⏳

Do you sometimes think: “I would really like to pray more, but I just don’t know when?” Or maybe you think: “Well, I do have time, but honestly, I often just don’t think about doing it.”

Can I share with you how I do it? There are several routes I regularly drive by car. You may do the same. And my mind already knows: “When you drive these routes, then we’ll take time to pray.”

There are also great “Prayer Background Music” playlists on Spotify or YouTube, which really help me get into a “prayer mood.” Because no, I’m not automatically in the mood. If I’m really honest, I often prefer listening to an audiobook or just letting music play. So, it’s a conscious decision I make.

The Bible says: “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” (Colossians 4:2 NLT)

And believe me: This decision determines everything! Because this decision ultimately decides whether I let the daily struggles defeat me, or I leave this battle to Jesus!

That’s why I want to urge you today to create conscious moments where your heart understands that it’s all about your relationship with God right here and now.

In the car, on the way to work, for example, you have peace. Even if it’s just five minutes. The same works even in a crowded train if you have headphones on. The same in the doctor’s waiting room or, hey, on the treadmill at the gym!

If you find yourself in the category of “I’d like to pray more” or “I often just don’t think about it,” then make a conscious decision today about what it could be for you, where your mind automatically thinks: “Ah, now and here is my moment of prayer.”

Because this decision determines everything.

You are a miracle!
