An anchor that makes you unshakeable…

Have you ever seen the anchor of a Titanic-sized ship or ocean liner? It’s impressive! Anchors like these are enormous, taller than several men standing on top of each other. The Titanic’s main anchor, for example, weighed more than 15 tons! Let’s just say that nothing could move a ship like this when its anchor was thrown…

The Bible also tells us about an anchor: “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,” (see Hebrews 6:19)

This anchor…

• Will never fail you,
• Will help you face every storm, no matter what it is,
• Is the hope that makes you unshakeable,
• Is much more steadfast than any earthly support.

If, when a storm hits, our first reaction is to run every which way and panic, we’ll have few chances of escaping it. However, if we hide within this “sure and steadfast” anchor, we will be much safer.

Is a strong wind blowing in your life? Hold on to Jesus.

The Lord is the solid anchor that makes you unshakeable in the storm. He secures and upholds you. He alone can make you unmovable in His immense grace and limitless love. The wind may well blow. But in Jesus, nothing can capsize you.

Let’s pray together… “Lord Jesus, when the winds of life blow upon my heart and cause me to falter, I know that I can count on You. I have this assurance that You are my anchor, my steadfast shelter. So I hold on to You today; I turn to You right now. I’m blessed by Your love, Your presence, Your Word, Your comforting voice. Jesus, I love You…! Thank You, My Lord. Amen.”
