The Bible says that “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
and delivers them.” (see Psalm 34:7) It’s an unfailing promise. God never leaves you to fend for yourself… He assures your protection.
Why “encamps”? This reminds us of the time when the people of Israel lived in the desert. There may have been enemies, aggressive tribes, wild animals…the danger was real, but the people had received a promise. God would send His angel to protect them. To shield them from all of their fears.
“All those who fear Him”…Fearing God doesn’t mean being afraid of Him. Rather, it’s demonstrating reverence, or esteem and regard; love; and respect. And as you do so, God’s protection, favor, mercy, and kindness are released to you!
But…today, there’s much more than angels guarding you! The Bible describes Jesus as far superior to the angels. (see Hebrews 1:4) He said Himself, “‘…lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” (see the Bible, Matthew 28:20) And when He left this Earth after 33 years, He said, “‘I will not leave you orphans…the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will always be with you.’” (see John 14:18, 26; John 15:26)
You are not alone…God is here with you. Know that even if you don’t see Him, He is right beside you. And if God is for you, who can be against you?

Glory to You oh God of Heaven and Earth and Sea and all that is therein We Love You Dearly…
This is such a beautiful reminder that Jesus is our good and faithful shepherd. He will never leave us or forsake us. He has us in the palm of His hands. I love that we have so many people there for us cheering us on like God’s angels, all the beautiful saints, Mother Mary, and our Guardian angel. Thanks for this beautiful devotional.
