Do you believe I can make you see?

Did you know that Jesus asked 339 questions in the Gospels? Our Lord’s communication style was based on two things: telling beautiful stories and asking important questions. This week, we’re starting a special series called “The Questions of Jesus” about some of these very questions. At the end, I’ll be sending out an optional survey, and I’d love to hear your thoughts about it! I pray this series blesses you!

“‘Do you believe I can make you see?’” (the Bible, Matthew 9:28, NLT)

One day, Jesus asked this question of two blind men who were begging for His help.

These men had heard about the miracles that Jesus was doing. But they grasped the fact that the miracle could be for them, too. So they decided to follow Jesus. And it wasn’t an easy thing to do. Jesus went from place to place. He blessed and did good, healing people from everywhere who were afflicted by the devil.

One day in one place, the next day in another. He had to travel through all the cities and villages to preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God. But led by their faith, these two men followed closely after Jesus. And on top of it, they shouted, wanting to be noticed by Him. “‘Have mercy on us!’” they cried out (see Matthew 9:27)

But Jesus did not come to pity, but to respond to faith. So He asked them, “‘Do you believe I can make you see?’” (Matthew 9:28)

  • Faith is seeing in advance!
  • It’s looking into the invisible realm when you’re blind!
  • It’s thinking the way God thinks!
  • It’s declaring the impossible to be possible!
  • It’s touching God so that He touches you!

“‘Yes, Lord!’” their hearts replied. “‘Because of your faith, it will happen’” was Jesus’ heart reply. “Then He touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your faith let it be to you.’” (see Matthew 9:28-29, NKJV)

Today, Jesus is asking you this same question: Do you believe I can make you see? Do you believe that Jesus can do anything? Do you believe that He cares about you? It’s not out of pity that He’ll save you…it’s in response to your faith. It will be to you according to your faith, not according to your problem. Instead of telling Jesus how great your problem is, tell your problem how great Jesus is. He is touching you now in response to your faith.

How apt the title of this message is for me today. I believe & am convinced that Jesus is asking this ques to me.

God has been setting me free from various bondages, biggest of all that I considered was a blockage in my faith and reasoning ability and I had been praying to God for a long time to restore my “spiritual vision/eyes”. God has drastically healed me physically in past two years and I am believing God for complete healing spiritually as well.

Can’t give more details here, but as I was reading this message, truth going in & belief was rising in me,.God started delivering me.

I am always so amazed and grateful how God has spoken to me through these messages for past two years.

I prayed for you too Eric! God bless you all!!
