Do you know what the heaviest of burdens is?

Jesus says in His Word, ““Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”” (see Matthew 11:28-29, NLT)

If you could measure it, how much would your burden weigh?

  • How many pounds would this sickness be?
  • This division in your family?
  • This financial situation weighing upon your shoulders, threatening to crush you?

There’s good news for you and I pray it encourages you to lift your eyes to God: It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” (see the Bible, Isaiah 10:27)

Jesus came to release us from everything we don’t have to carry: guilt, comparison, jealousy, and so many other things that bring weariness into our lives.

Jesus came to give us life in abundance. He didn’t come promising an easy life but rather a life in which He walks alongside us.

When all is said and done, the heaviest of burdens is living without Jesus… because with Him and through Him is peace, joy, faith, confidence. The assurance that you’re never alone because He is there! He watches over you. He protects you. He loves you.

My prayer for you today is that you simply hold on to this promise: God is with you, every day, until the end of time. (see the Bible, Matthew 28:20)

Let’s pray together… Lord, You know my heart, You know how much I love You. I know that You’re present here with me, and I want to experience more of You. I give You everything that’s weighing me down, and I’m waiting in hopeful expectation for You. Yes, I’m expectant, Lord! Thank You…I know You’re moving because it’s Your promise in Your Word! In Your name I pray, amen.”
