Does God want you to have success?

Success is an elusive objective for many people I’ve met. It’s much like the proverbial carrot placed just out of reach of a horse or donkey. I’ve known so many people who were chasing after success and yet seemed miserable and unfulfilled. My dad would often quote, “‘For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?’” (Mark 8:36, NKJV) Yikes! He only knew one verse but held onto that one like an anchor for his soul. He was a war hero who survived and then succeeded tremendously in the corporate world. He knew a lot about success and its treacherous landmines.

Do you want to be a success? What does success look like to you? Please don’t get me wrong. I believe God wants us to experience tremendous success. The Bible says those who crossed over the Jordan River would possess the Promised Land: “‘I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.’” (Joshua 1:3, NIV)

In fact, God has a life plan for each one of us that will make us successful, happy, and fruitful. Success has its hidden trap doors, but God has the perfect prevention plan: humility, generosity, and unselfishness. He wanted to give the Promised Land to the Israelites, but it took 40 years of wandering to finally cross over. God always keeps His promises, even if it takes 40, 100, or a thousand years.

Can you give yourself permission to cross over into a successful career, ministry, and life? You can’t enter if you don’t believe that God wants to give it to you. Don’t forget: “…without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV)

It’s time to believe in His promises and His love because you are a miracle.

Yes, I believe God wants us to be successful. He so kind, faithful and trustworthy to us. He says: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭NIV‬‬. This verse alone speaks volumes to me. I use it in every aspect of my life. Praise The God of Israel, that he is exactly who he says he is. Love you sisters and brothers.. thank you Marc for your encouragement and lifting up our Father. I love you too my dear friend in Christ Jesus because you are a miracle.

Thank you, Co-workers in Christ, for this truthful reminder of the hallmarks of authentic success: humility, generosity, unselfishness. Philippians 2:3-4 ESV defines and expounds upon the aforementioned attributes through “Christ’s Example of Humility” which states: “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” In this ongoing season of clinging to worldly conformity in a vain effort to climb the corporate ladder of illusory “success,” it has become increasingly harder to impart upon others, at home and in community, the wisdom of the Kingdom perspective. Too few people pause long enough to recognize the impact our words and actions have on EVERYONE, whether directly or indirectly, intentionally or unintentionally. And this, though heartbreaking, encourages me all the more to stand firm in the faith and be different in the face of indifference. May God continue to bless those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Amen.

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?’” (Mark 8:36, NKJV)
WhooooWeeee Jesus I’ve felt as if I’ve had something that I’d profited until I retire. You see working kept me going so they kept my mine and life occupied. Yes, I was in church services all my life even now. I heard the minister’s messages and I obeyed the one that I liked or should I say the one that inspired me up until I accurately retired. I was so tired of the way the world had/had people so taped in their system. Then I found that I too was trapped with no peace even being retired. What was it? I had Nothing to an all of the time I needed but still no peace! I found out the hard way but right on time, I hadn’t spent anytime in God’s Grace I mean really in his face or Grace! When God allowed all the crazy stuff pull me down to my knees Mark 8:36.I was losing sight of who the creator and shepherd of my soul really is.
In Hebrews 11:6 says “…He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
Now I can say I’ve found joy, love, peace, and favor in earnestly seeking everything I needed… GOD and that the time is now to return to Christ! ThankYou Jesus that He calle kept me and He didn’t let go!
I can truly say that I am a Miracle <3
