Don’t be afraid!

Today, God is inviting you to give your worries to Him. He promises to uphold you and come to your aid. He is with you. He says to you in His Word, “‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” (Isaiah 41:10, NKJV)
When everything around you is shaking, out of your control, don’t depend on yourself—that’s when the fear starts to enter in. This fear creates all sorts of questions…“Am I going to make it? How am I going to get out of this? What will I become?”
And when the fear grows inside of you, fed by uncertainty or painful memories, the questions can become negative confessions: “I’m not going to make it! It’s impossible! I have no more hope!”
This is what Peter experienced shortly after he started walking on the water…he saw the storm he couldn’t control, and fear struck his heart. Haven’t we all been in this place? I invite you to watch this beautiful handmade sand video relating this story…and Jesus’ miraculous response. He comes to Peter’s aid, upholding him in the storm with His hand.

Today, Jesus is doing the same for you! He draws near to you, placing His hand on your heart. Looking at you with love in His eyes, He says, “It’s Me. I’m here. Don’t be afraid! All power has been given to Me in heaven and on Earth. I will not leave you alone. I’m strengthening you. I’m here for you, and I’m helping you. I love you.”
Even now as you pray, God is coming close to say, “Don’t be afraid!” Declare it with me today in the midst of your storm: “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear…” (Psalm 118:6)!
