Don’t be fooled by your perception!

Our perception is often influenced by our pasts, our painful experiences, or the context of the current situation.

Often, there’s a filter inside of us that changes our reality. Even our view of Jesus can be distorted…

Let’s take a look at John 20:15 in the Bible together: Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?’ She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, ‘Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.’”

The action took place right after Jesus’s resurrection. The woman was looking for the Lord’s body… while she was in His very presence! For her, He was… dead. When He was alive!

She wasn’t expecting Jesus to be alive, which explains why she was searching for Him… among the dead. So, this man she found in the garden could only be… the gardener! Who else could be in the garden but the gardener?

In other words, the past and the context influenced her perception of Christ!

God is sovereign in all His ways of being and doing. Today, He will reveal Himself in one way and tomorrow, in another. Sometimes, we’re surprised that He doesn’t act like we anticipate or wish that He would… yet, this Easter Monday, just like every day, He is here, alive, and He is close to you!

Let’s rejoice as we listen to this incredible, classic song, “I’ve Just Seen Jesus” by Larnelle Harris and Sandi Patty!

one of my absolute favorites. Always spine tingling, tear causing, heart aching beauty revealed in that song. THAT’S MORE THAN A SONG…. IT’S A TRIBUTE, A GLORIFICATION, AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO MANKIND. THEY HAVE ANOTHER DUO, “HE IS RISEN”. JUST AS SPECTACULAR AS THIS ONE. PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE BE HIS HOLY NAME.
