Exercise your faith

What do you believe about Jesus Christ? Does He still heal? Does He care about your life, troubles, and dreams? If you have a big problem, can you ask Him to intervene? I hope that all of your answers are yes, yes, and absolutely yes! Your faith will determine His responses.
The Bible tells the story of two blind men who cried out for a miracle: “When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, ‘Son of David, have mercy on us!’” (Matthew 9:27, NKJV)
I can imagine the clamor and outrage of the religious community. These blind men were beggars and rejects of society. The hypocrites had no time for beggars, especially those they thought were blaspheming by calling Jesus “the Son of David.”
It’s ironic that the blind men could see Jesus as the Messiah, but the people who could physically see did not. Jesus’ response was priceless: “And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’” (Matthew 9:28, NKJV)
I know that Jesus is asking you the same question. It will determine almost everything else about your future. Notice their instantaneous answer was emphatic: “‘Yes, Lord,’ they told Him, ‘we do.’” (Matthew 9:28, NLT)
Jesus then uses a word that we will study for the next two weeks: “kata.” Kata is used over 800 times in the Bible, and it means “according to” or everything comes from something. “Then He touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your faith let it be to you.’” (Matthew 9:29, NKJV)
In this context, Jesus is saying that their healing would be kata their faith. The word “faith” means our beliefs about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and His truths.
Miracles, signs, and wonders come from your beliefs in God, His will, and His power. Do you believe God can heal you, help you, save you, and empower you? Then He says He will. Isn’t that kind of crazy? God has all the power and will to change our lives, but we need to believe that He will. In other words, miracles kata your faith.
Maybe it’s time for you to exercise your faith and watch the world change. You can do it because you are a miracle. And I have faith in a good God.
This post made me smile. Thank you Paul. I have to share this … Christ used my friend of many years and healed me!!!
I have a good God too! He is an amazing and loving God that cares. I had sinus surgery Friday and it was in the doctor’s office not in the hospital. It was ok becos I had some good drugs to help me keep calm and A LOT of deadening “stuff”. All was well until my friend and I got in the car to come home. She, of course was driving, and I began to get a kick-butt migraine. It was so intense I began to cry profusely. She reached out and touched my arm and prayed for this pain to go away. When she said amen my pain began to subside and in 5 min was G-O-N-E!! I’ve never been healed like that before. And I’m not sure but I don’t think she had EVER done that for anyone before. Of course we both knew the healing came from Christ. But it was amazing! Lord Jesus, thank You for healing my pain on such a personal way with such a wonderful friend. It was most special and I thank You for her and for the healing. In Jesus name. Amen.
PS. Why doesn’t this save my name and email address? I always click the box for it to save.

I have been trying to heal my MS and my leg that won’t bend because of muscle spasms and weakness. I pray every evening with my husband who has never seen me walk in the +21 years we have been married and together. I am not sure if I have enough faith or it is just not his will for me. I would love if my husband were given the miracle of seeing me whole that he has never seen. Maybe it is God’s will for me to struggle the rest of my life. I need kata faith! Thank you for everything Paul but most of all thank you Jesus
God wants you well, 1Peter 2:24 says “ By His stripes you WERE (not going to be) healed. He’s already done it, now we have to have the faith Gods word is true. I am also waiting on my complete miracle, God healed me of lung cancer but I also found out I had emphysema. The radiation and chemo left my lungs in so bad shape but now I am on oxygen and can’t walk from room to room. I know God has healed me and I to I’m waiting for the manifestation of my complete miracle. God has opened up his word to me and giving me greater understanding. I know I will be well, and I know you will be too. Keep the faith and open Gods word to learn more of His truth. I’ll be praying for your complete healing Debbie.

Thank you again for the encouragement Pastor Paul, and for teaching me a new word, Kata. Faith also comes through hearing the Word about Christ, the Gospel. Recent dizzyness/balance/vertigo issues could set me in a rut, but I know He is stronger than any sickness.
