We draw what we fear to ourselves. This is what the Bible says: “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me.” (Job 3:25)
Do you dread bad news? It arrives. Are you afraid of getting sick? It happens. You dread getting a bill, and there it is… in the mailbox. It’s for good reason that the Bible says, “for the thing I greatly feared has come upon me.”
Why does the Bible talk about this? The Word of God is here to encourage you and teach you the keys to a victorious, powerful life in Jesus Christ. What we learn from this verse in Job is that fear opens a door to the enemy. However, consider this…faith is the opposite of fear! It’s like fear reversed. It’s expecting the good things we hope for to happen.
What I wait for… is what happens to me. I attract what I expect, what I’m meditating on, what I’m dwelling on in my heart. So, if I’m expecting the best, I will draw the best! And as I feed on the Word of God (which reminds me of His kindness and goodness), I draw what is good unto myself.
Maybe you’d say to me, “Eric, that’s a bit simple…almost too easy.” True, but it’s biblical. The most effective solutions are not necessarily the most complicated. :-) I love the simplicity of our gospel!
I encourage you to renounce fear and every negative thought, to keep your eyes fixed on the Lord’s mercies that are new for you this morning.

Thank you so much for encourangeing words i read every morning. I am currently looking for a new job and putting it in Gods hands,trusting he will lead me to the correct one. I have filled out applications,doing my part to show him im trying but asking him to put me were he thinks i should be . I have always been a believer,but was his wild child many years,and now at the age of 54 i weep at the times i did not put things in his hands.God Is Great and i know hears my every prayers.
I wake up feeling aching and pain, I am glad that I am hear in his presence, he Loves me. I can’t give up on myself and God, I think about Jesus what he had did for me and us all. Thank God for putting people’s around me that is in his teaching. Thank You Lord hallelujah

Thank you so much for this encouragement. I have lost family members to cancer and that is one of my greatest fears that it will happen to me, I know that the devil puts these thoughts in me. I need prayer to overcome this negativity and truly believe God is for me not against me.
Thank you Eric for this message-I read your messages everyday – this one is what I am dealing with this year – I become afraid of everything – I used to encourage others when their afraid – things have been hitting close to home these past few years – this message I will read over and over again (& practice ) till it’s apart of me again God bless you

I pray daily, read my bible @ devotions, am on s prayer team most of the time God does what I need before I can even think of asking! How about that! I have been going through a really ruff time for the last 2 yrs with s mystery skin disorder disorder. The doctors can’t even give it s name or find s medicine to work on it. I be leave it is Satan, I have rebuke it in the nsmr
Thank you so much Eric for the wonderful, sweet and encouraging words. Fear is one of the biggest weapon the devil uses since once you are afraid of something, you cant even pray. Satan is like the lion. When the lion roars, animals do fear and lose hope to get survived and hence the animal can not even concentrate and eventually the lion would catch it.The spirit of fear is horrible and hence the need to renounce it at all means.

I am hanging from a thread far too long, God take my breath today or I will, can not take any more, pain hurt loss grief husband bringing things to my 14 year old son, hiding stuff. His first son was in juvenile detention at 14, never had a license he is now 33. Drinks and smoked pot. I fight for my son who loves God and spirit filled, I don’t need this. My son is the only good in our family of unsaved drinking, addicted children. I just want to die…..
