Have you ever seen “Peter Pan,” and if so, do you remember how Peter loses his shadow? He chases it around the room and tries to get it back, but sometimes it’s quicker than him. Of course, it’s impossible for our shadow to move faster or slower than us…! But the image is revealing. Unlike Peter Pan, our shadows “stick to our skin” in a way… they can never be detached from us.
We read in the Word of God, “My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.” (Psalm 121:2-5)
God is like your shadow: He cannot be taken or moved away from you. When you get up, He is still there. When you lie down, He is there. When you speak to anyone, He is still there… (see the Bible, Psalm 139)
Everywhere you go, the Lord follows you. He is your protector. This kind, benevolent God who is attentive to every one of your steps covers you with His presence…you’re never alone.
I encourage you to take a few minutes right now to speak to God, thanking and praising Him with your words.

From hopeless drug addict to singing songs of praise is where I’m at today. Thank you Jesus for being my shadow thru the pains of addiction & when all was lost he provided someone to show me the way of Christ is a life worth living..
Today I walk in VICTORY, knowing I am a child of the most high GOD!!
When troubles come my way I can no longer turn to the lying affects of drugs & alcohol, I’ve learned to surrender it all to our heavenly, that he is the only fix I need..

More and more I see what an awesome God we serve. I’m so glad that He can take anyone’s mess and work it out for God. There is liberty victory healing in God. Praise be the God of my salvation!
