A comment I read on one of my videos caught my attention. It was from Claudia, who lives in France.
She wrote, “If I hadn’t made so many mistakes, Lord, I wouldn’t be sick today. If I had listened to You, Lord, about all this suffering I inflicted upon myself, I wouldn’t have experienced all these failures in my life. I want to become the one I’m supposed to be right now. Be with me, Lord, so that I may be different from this day forward.”
It’s true that sometimes, the situation we’re experiencing is the consequence of our choices and mistakes. It’s true that sometimes God had warned us, spoken to us, and we didn’t listen to Him. And that, in the end, we inflicted ourselves with pain and suffering that led us to failure.
However, the Bible says that God’s compassions fail not and that His mercies are new every morning. (see Lamentations 3:22-23)
Claudia made the right choice, the choice to acknowledge her mistakes and return to her father, like the prodigal son who came back. In this story, the father was waiting there on the doorstep. And when he saw his son in the distance, he ran to meet him and take him who was lost into his arms.
I see a good father today, a Heavenly Father waiting for His child, a Father running to embrace Claudia and rejoice with her.
Yes, it is still possible for you to become the person that God has foreseen, despite the failures, despite the mistakes, despite the sins! God isn’t finished with you. Lift your head and run to Him… His arms are wide open for you!
