Guilt? No thank you!

Are these statements familiar to you? Do you find yourself saying or thinking these kinds of things?
- “I haven’t spent enough time today with God…”
- “I could’ve/should’ve read my Bible more…”
- “I’d like to do more for the Lord.”
The Lord isn’t looking for something from you. He isn’t looking for more good works, more prayers, more of this or that… Of course, these things may help you to draw closer to Him and know Him better.
But more than these “things to do,” God wants you, all of you. The author C.S. Lewis once said, “God doesn’t want something from us. He simply wants us.”
If you emphasize the “doing,” guilt will quickly rear its ugly head. But God doesn’t want to condemn you… He wants to free you! Not make you feel guilty for not doing enough. Why? Because He’s seeking your heart above all. He wants to be in relationship with you directly, not superficially.
“My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.” (the Bible, Proverbs 23:26)
Let’s worship the Lord together with all of our hearts as we sing “This Is My Desire” with Michael W. Smith.

This is what’s precious in God’s eyes: who you are… before what you do.

Am not guilty, I Love the Lord, I do read the bible sometimes but not ask much, I thank You for God words to me.

And yes, sometimes I feel like I don’t do enough. But I want to share..
When you asked me to join in and pray! I said to HIM, I am just a plain simple lady without a degree what do I know give a sign.
And right away, later I picked up my cell and as I opened in big red letters
ITS OK IF YOUR SLOW, AS LONG AS YOU DO IT.
I couldn’t believe what I was reading!
But I knew it was HIM!
PRAISE GOD! FOR HE IS GOOD!
HE KNOWS I LOVE HIM AND MY DESIRE… Amen????❤️TO WORSHIP HIM????????
