Today, we’re talking about the 2017 movie The Shack (based on the bestselling book by Paul Young). The movie tells the story of Mack, a man who lost his daughter through tragic circumstances and responded to a mysterious invitation from God. If you haven’t seen it or would like to see it again, I invite you to watch it by clicking this link

God is a God of love. The Bible even says that He IS love (see 1 John 4:16). Now the nature of love is to love, to demonstrate this particular affection to another person. In fact, there is no love if there’s nothing or no one to love.

In one scene of the movie, the character of Jesus describes to Mack the loving relationship that unites Him with the Father and the Holy Spirit. This part of the movie echoes the fact that God is a God of relationship and a God who loves. The relationship experienced by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is a relationship of love.

Isn’t that crazy? This great God we often perceive and describe in terms of power and strength is also and above all the God who loves. The God who loves YOU and pours His love on YOU. Maybe you have trouble believing this? The Bible is full of verses describing this incredibly special love that the Father has for you. Here are a few of them:

  • “…‘I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.’” (Jeremiah 31:3, NLT)
  • “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” (1 Chronicles 16:34
  • “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8

May this powerful worship video, “Beloved” by Jordan Feliz, reveal the truth of God’s love to you. Be blessed today with the knowledge of His exceedingly great love!

Its is wonderful to know that we are His Beloved and that we are above all of the negative thing people say or think about us. The blessing is even if some of the negative report given are true we must repent and trust that God has forgiven us and walk into your wealthy place called “God’s Love”
