How could I forget you?

AMED 39.15

Home | A Miracle Every Day | Miracles | How could I forget you?

When God delays in answering you, do you doubt? End up believing He may have forgotten or even abandoned you? Before your time, the people of Zion experienced the same worry. The Lord responded to their worry by saying:

“‘Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.’” (Read the Bible, Isaiah 49:15-16, NKJV)

We could restate His words like this: “How could I, your Father and Creator, forget or abandon you? You’re so important to Me; see, I’ve inscribed you on the palms of My hands. My gaze never leaves you.”

To help you really understand that He is a loving God, the Lord uses a strong image: that of a mother and her nursing child. Don’t a baby’s hungry cries remind Him of ours? Don’t we also cry out like that sometimes, with varying levels of patience, to show our “hunger” and need? Yet God knows it perfectly, even before we express it…(Read Luke 12:30)

Like a mother…

  • God doesn’t need to schedule a reminder to think about you: your name is inscribed on His hands and in His heart.
  • He knows each of your needs and provides for them in His timing.
  • Finally, if your own family were to forsake you, He would take care of you. (Read Psalm 27:10)

God doesn’t need a reminder not to forget you. He thinks of you constantly, at all times.

Today, let this powerful song minister to you: “How He Loves Us” sung by Kim Walker-Smith.

I invite you to pray with all your heart…“My Lord, thank You for Your perfect and unfailing love. I praise You for taking care of me every day and helping me overcome each one of my obstacles. I praise You for making me Your beloved child. I love You, Father. Amen.”

Don’t forget: it’s impossible for God to forget you!

Be blessed today.

Thank my God above for sending you my way. The deep depression I have been is is almost too much and at times it is. Love you.

I too have suffered with depression for over forty years. Sometimes manageable…. sometimes not so much. God will never leave or forsake you … even though the despair makes it feel as if you’re so alone.

Reach out to Him and IF you’re able…
reach out to any human at all.
Even though contact with anyone else is the last thing you want when the darkest parts of the depression overwhelms you…
it truly is what “we” need … as the isolation we experience makes the pit so much deeper to climb out of.
It doesn’t even have to be a Counselor or friend or family member, although that works best, for me even just forcing myself out of the house for a walk or drive or to a store or just a drive thru, where only strangers are encountered …. just to say hello even helps, but if you’re not able, please reach out for help.
It takes more courage than I could ever find to seek any help at all …but somehow God always helped me through and He will help
      You too.
Encountering others somehow reminds me that I’m not alone…
… that I’ve been through this before …
and God will see me through it again.
Feel free to email me. I truly do understand … and I know God still has a plan for you …
as the Word is clear on that
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah
… and even David despaired of life …
… just cry out to God and He WILL help you… He promised.
You are in my prayers. Please reach out.
