Time is our most precious resource. When it’s managed wisely, it can be a huge asset for a healthy marriage, a close-knit family, and a growing relationship with God. Yet, we’re rarely taught to use it in the right way…

One “A Miracle Every Day” reader confessed this to me: I feel frustrated that I cant put aside a time, preferably in the morning, to pray and listen to the Lords instructions before starting my day. It doesnt prevent me from talking to Him and even hearing Him speak to me at any moment of the day, but Id like to have, in addition to this, a dedicated time.”

Maybe until now, you’ve always told yourself, “I’d sincerely like to find time to read my Bible more, take care of myself, spend quality time with my family and friends, but I have a life filled to the brim and every minute costs me.”

The Bible tells us, So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12)

The good news is that we can learn time management! It’s not innate or only reserved for those who are naturally organized. In fact, our whole life is organized around time. If we don’t know how to use it, we can quickly find ourselves spending our lives missing what really matters.

In the movie The Fellowship of the Ring, Gandalf said something profound: All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

We may not get to decide the quantity of time that we have, but God gives us the responsibility of using it for what seems good to us.

I invite you to pray with me… Lord, teach me to number my days wisely. Ive lived until now as if in a race against time, trying to somehow squeeze all my activities and interests into an already hectic schedule. But, I pray that today, You lead me to wisdom that will help me use my time according to Your principles.”
