Jesus doesn’t use cheap glue…

Have you ever worked with a glue that doesn’t stick? You want to fix your shoe, for example, so you use one of those glues they call “super glue” with “maximum hold”… And then, the next day, your shoe falls apart again!

It reminds me that when “fixing” our mistakes, Jesus doesn’t use cheap glue. Imagine if He did… we’d be only half forgiven. Our errors would be erased only for the course of a day. Hello, disappointment, disillusionment…

No, when Jesus fixes something, it’s sturdy, solid. He repairs things so well, so perfectly, that He even makes new out of the old! (see the Bible, Mark 2:21-22 and its context)

Do you know that verse that gives you the solid assurance that God makes all things new? Here it is in the Amplified version: “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

You can proclaim this verse with me and declare it over your life! “Therefore if I am in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], I am a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [my previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Whoo hoo! Isn’t God’s love for you amazing? Everything in you has become new. Your past, who you were before you met Jesus, doesn’t matter anymore. With Him, everything is good, new, solid, and sturdy. Your God will not fail you. Onward to a bright future!
