Keep loving!

There’s a Christian film that really touched me and has great potential to encourage our faith. It’s the film Facing The Giants (you can read more about it here if you’d like).

In one particular scene, the main character’s wife goes to a doctor’s appointment. After several unsuccessful attempts, she hopes this time that she’ll be told she’s pregnant. The verdict: negative, once again.

In this woman’s tears, we can feel all the sadness this news brings. But in her grief, she lifts her eyes to heaven and proclaims these words rich in meaning: “I will still love You, Lord. I will still love You.”

This kind of faith is priceless in God’s eyes. It’s faith that says, “I don’t understand, Lord, and I’m hurting, deeply hurting, but no matter what, I will remain faithful to You. I will still love You and serve You, Jesus.” It’s faith that says that we love God for who He is above all, and not just for His blessings.

Today, even if you don’t understand, keep loving Him. Keep loving your God. Stay close to Him. He is standing so near to you, acting in your favor.
