None of your tears fall in vain…

Today, we’re concluding our series based on the movie The Shack (based on the bestselling book by Paul Young). If you haven’t seen it or would like to see it again, I invite you to watch it by clicking on this link.

Grief is a completely legitimate feeling for us as human beings. It is normal and natural to feel pain, to let the tears flow. I like this image, in the movie, when we see Sarah Yu (who represents the person of the Holy Spirit) pouring out Mack’s tears to water the earth, which then yields lovely flowers and a magnificent tree. Yes, none of our tears are lost…

The Bible says that God hears the voice of your tears (read Psalm 6:8, NKJV). This verse is beautiful. God, who rules the whole universe, hears you when you cry. He sees your sorrow, your grief, and He is sensitive to them. In these times, He gives you His kind, compassionate presence and unchanging love. Even when your heart is overcome with grief, God wants to strengthen you according to His Word (see Psalm 119:28).

God wants to help you cross the valley of tears and clothe you with a garment of praise in place of the spirit of heaviness because He loves you (see Isaiah 61:3). My prayer is that you may receive this comfort, if you’re crossing this valley right now. May this worship song by Chris Tomlin minister to you deeply today.

Be blessed!

I truly appreciate this encouraging word about my grief and the many tears that flow from my heart. It will be a year soon that my sister went to be with the Lord suddenly and I know my Lord has embraced me in His Love until my broken heart is mended. The scripture you provided is truly a God send to remind me of His Love. My crown of beauty, oil of joy and garment of praise is mine because of my beautiful Saviour. God bless u Eric always.
