How much time do you spend on social media? How much time in front of the television?
Depending on your age, there’s that daily TV show you absolutely must not miss. Or social media might quickly capture your attention. And I deliberately say “capture your attention.”
Perhaps you have a Christian channel playing all day at your place, and you exclusively follow Christian influencers and pastors on social media, thinking that you’re growing your faith. And hopefully, you are. But…
Are you aware that we often spend more time with people talking about God than with the God who speaks to you personally?
If we were to reduce the time spent on the internet or in front of the television and maximize the time we spend with God personally, it would eliminate a lot of frustration, loneliness, worry and doubt.
I am overwhelmed and so, so grateful that I get to speak to thousands of people worldwide every day, whether through the Miracle Emails, contributions on Christian TV, on the radio, Facebook, or Instagram. Yet:
If people follow me more than they follow JESUS, then something has gone wrong.
These are thoughts I recently had, and want to share with you in all openness. Because you matter to me!
“Teach us to realize how short our lives are. Then our hearts will become wise.” (Psalm 90:12 NIRV)
Let’s be mindful of how we manage our time.
The incredible thing is that Jesus has time for us. Always! What a gift. What love!

Ouch!???? This is definitely my issue. I’m so grateful to the Lord for pulling me back to Him. I had been “going through the motions”, but that’s all it was. It has been a painful, and eye opening experience, but definitely necessary. I’m not where I need to be yet, but am encouraged daily by spending more and more time with God. Thank You again for being transparent Deborah and sharing from your heart! I am not on social media, and occasionally watch TBN Christian TV shows, or watch and listen to messages from Pastors, Joyce Meyer’s, etc on You Tube. It would be helpful to know how you spend time with Jesus, and your daily routine for a Bible reading plan. I’ve not read the Bible all the way through. But have read various Old/New Testament books and have been to Bible studies in the past. But not recently since I’ve had physical limitations and praying for healing of restoration back to full health in Jesus’ Holy name through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I know I can do better in prioritizing my time with the Lord.
I was thinking that the greatest thing that could happen in any day would be to experience being in the presence of God. So, when I am going thru the day, hopefully being prayerful, I can pray to the Holy Ghost also, and for a visit from the Holy Ghost. I should be praying for this ministry, for Deborah, and for the messages that go out to thousands, what it stirs in their hearts, and how it strengthens a relationship with Jesus. Prayers covering my brothers and sisters who write out brief comments like this one.
May our Lord hear our prayers.

I have about 3 hours of tv, and I’m on my Christian channel. The Word of God spoken and explained. I read my Bible every day, as far as watching tv shows about 1-2 hours. I listen to KLove some times. I have conversations with my Lord through the day and at night I wake up and pray.
I feel attacked! Yeah I need to spend more time with God and get off of social media. Please pray for me to find a job. TIA.
