Jesus stood with a towel over His arm and modeled how someone in a leadership role can have the greatest impact on people.” – Bill Johnson

Jesus is sometimes called the “Servant King.” That may seem like a paradox to this world and its ways of thinking, but it’s a spiritual reality. Jesus told His disciples that he who wanted to be greatest among them had to become a servant to all!

“‘…but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.’” (the Bible, Mark 10:43)

Jesus’s leadership was based on the fact that He had come to serve.

Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (the Bible, Matthew 20:28)

He exercised His leadership of men with compassion, and His heart was set on raising His disciples up and bringing them into a place of greater growth.

Today, choose to serve others and reflect Christ’s nature!

P.S. I hope youve enjoyed our series onthe power that transforms the world.” If youd like to learn more about this subject, I invite you to read Bill Johnsons book that you can order here!

I appreciate these daily words of encouragement and scripture. When days get longer and work, and my stress rises, this encouragement and God’s scripture helps me remain joyful throughout the day.

I cannot express how grateful I am to receive the daily devotionals. When I was at my lowest point I was encouraged to stand tall, that I am important in the world, and for me to exist made someone else happy. That is loving and powerful, a gift I treasure.
    Merci pour hi!

Thank you for the encouraging words of wisdom. It is such a blessing to get these words and it always seems to fit perfectly with what god is teaching me at the time. It also reminds me that its good to fellowship with other believers and get words of encouragement from them as well to help us develop a healthy and mature spiritual life.

    Matthew 18:20 (NLT)
For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

I would ask that you pray for my spiritual maturity and growth and that I may be able to connect with other brothers and sisters in the faith of any denomination. Pray that when we gather that gods glory be brought to the attention of any believers and ESPECIALLY non-believers and that the the GRACE of god be poured out upon us.

Again thank you and god bless you
